We had the pleasure of filming Lane and Adam's Murfreesboro Wedding at Lane's parents' house back in October. It was a beautiful location and an incredible day full of love, laughter and friendship. They are an excellent couple with a very caring and supportive "team" of family and friends surrounding them! Needless to say, I had a very enjoyable time documenting them tying the knot and recapping the killer party that ensued!! Check out the highlight vid below:

Halloween Night Recap:)

Well, it was another excellent Halloween night with a great crew this past week! Decided to set up the makeshift photobooth (see pics below) at the crib once again to capture some of the pregame madness before we headed out to one of the most epic Pretty Lights performances I've seen to date!!

Pretty Lights threw it down hard to a sold out crowd at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville!! was def quite an experience!! Here's a couple vids I found floatin around youtube:

I had the pleasure of filming Krewella and R3hab at Mai when they stopped through Nashville a couple weeks ago and put together this recap vid for the fine folks over at Camelback Music. Both acts absolutely crushed it, providing a raging high energy evening of electronic dance music...expect huge things from both of these artists in the near future!! Needless to say, I had a great time with this one!!

In other news, I recently upgraded my Vimeo page to a "Plus" account so I can now upload and embed unlimited HD vids. IMO, the quality of videos on Vimeo is much better than that of YouTube, which you can probably tell from viewing the videos above! This is definitely a better way to display my work online.

Hello::

So yeah, I'm generally a few weeks behind gettin' content up on this site...if you follow me on facebook, you've probably seen all this stuff already, so bear with me:)

I recently had the pleasure of shooting engagement pics for some very dear friends of mine, Cody and Kelly. We've all been through a lot together and it has really been a great experience getting to know them over the years...so when they asked me to be a part of the journey towards their special day, I gratefully accepted. I had never really shot any "official" engagement pics, so this was new for me. We approached the process with a laid back, but conscientious mentality and made a really fun day of it!!

Furthermore, I am honored to be joining them in Zihuatanejo, Mexico in January to document and be part of the "main event"!! Can't wait!!

Laser Flames on the Great Big News @ The End | 10.01.2011

Ok, so this was on October 1st, but who's countin', haha...My good friends in Laser Flames have recently gotten back at it after a bit of a hiatus; and thankfully so, cuz they truly do kill it!!! I was lucky enough to be in the building with the camera that night to capture some pics for this epic set of rawk! This was part of the release party for Super Bowl Rocket Ship's new 7" (who also feats. the vocal stylings of Stevie Bailey) ...unfortunately, I had to leave before their set, but def check them out as well.

Fistikuffs "Quest for Crunk" Premiere Show @ The 5 Spot

I met one of the "Kuffs" members (CashVillin) while he was bar tending at a wedding I was filming a while back. We got to talkin; he informed me of this satirical gangster rap group he was in called Fistikuffs and recommended I come check out the release of their "Quest For Crunk" mockumentary...and boy am I glad I attended with camera in hand!!
The Fistikuffs followed up the debut their film with a skull crushing live performance featuring the Thrift Store Mafia! It was off the chain!

What started out as a rainy morning quickly turned into a beautiful afternoon as Justin and Stephanie committed to spend their lives together.

There was a certain electricity in the air as the events of the day unfolded; undoubtedly a direct result of the couple's radiant and genial personalities as well as the strong love and support of the family and friends around them.

It really was a pleasure to be part of their big day. There is definitely a special bond between these two that provided for an emotional and downright amazing wedding day full of love, laughter, happiness and lively festivities. It would be an understatement to say that I had absolute blast shooting and producing their wedding video!!

it's been a while...pureform media blog resurrection

so I've pretty much decided that I suck at blogging...my last post being in January...but trust me when I say that there definitely has not been a lack of blog-worthy material in the past months. In fact, there has been a ton of crazy and awesome stuff going on lately in my world that has been keeping me super busy...those that follow me on facebook or twitter are probably well aware of some of the madness, so in that case, you are more than welcome to disregard this..haha..I will be making a concerted effort to keep up on blogging now that this will serve as my primary website

so anyways, I was planning on re-doing my whole site in Wordpress and I pretty much abandoned/neglected this blogspot account thinking that I could get a site up pretty quickly..(any relevant info gets posted on facebook anyway, right??) well, as it goes, I have been busy as hell since the new year and just never really got around to it updating:), but I digress, I'm basically gonna try to make up for the past 7 months in a single post, call it even and just go from there! haha, it's gonna be that easy...there's far to much to post, but this is a little summary at the least:)

Break on a Cloud

I feel that one of my most notable endeavours this year has been establishing an involvement with the crew over at Break on a Cloud...for those of you that don't know, BOAC is one of Nashville's newest and freshest music blogs, run by my homie, Rob Bragdon, and crewed up by Matt Miller, Kelly Hite, Alan Wieme and Larry Arace, who are all super talented photographers and videographers. Together, we have been covering some of the dopest music events throughout Nashville since January, providing video and photography support and subsequent recaps and writeups on the Blog. This has provided some great opportunities to film such hip hop legends such as Raekwon, Talib Kweli, Questlove, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Nappy Roots...as well as some hot up and coming Nashville acts as Dee Goodz, Chancellor Warhol, Gab, DJ Wick-It, Classic Williams and Call it Dope!

New Electro Collab w/Cody Malak!

Got a new track up on SoundCloud, chek it out!

This is a collab with my boy, Mr. Cody Malak. Based on a song that Cody wrote a long while back that we used to jam on live. He decided to rearrange/remix it again in digital form and it became a sort of trancey, downtempo track. Cody ripping on guitars and ambient synth passages; I took the music bed he provided and sequenced the beat, bass line and layered synth elements, then mixed it all in Logic...this it the result:

Yo!

Really been slackin' on the blog duties lately..haha, but as many of you may know, I've had a pretty rough go so far this year. For starters my house was robbed back in March with my computer, video camera and plenty of other gear and personal items being stolen in the process. Needless to say, recovering from that trauma to my life and business has been a very daunting task, but through help from friends and family I was able to maintain a positive outlook and I am now pleased to say that I am back with a vengeance..haha.

Have made plenty of upgrades gear-wise and finally have my setup back in order. I'm redesigning my website and have basically re-branded pureform media as a whole, so I guess good things have come out of this awful experience in terms of a new beginning. The calendar has been filling up with gigs booked and I have been sending out resumes left and right as well with a few promising full time job leads.

Well anyways, it feels good to be back in the game and I am really stoked to be up and running again. During the dormant period, I had really been concentrating on still photography (my DSLR camera was one thing that didn't get stolen:)). I've learned so many cool new techniques over the past months and have gotten into strobist shooting as well. Hey y'alls,

Been slackin on the blog for a while again..ya know, holidaze and all that jazz. It's a brand new year and I'm gonna be dedicating plenty of life to keepin the dream alive haha..by this I mean gaining new clients, networking like a mofo, upgrading the gear, undergoing some more advanced training..all in all making this media thing a full time livelihood. I've been convinced for years now that being a lifer at a desk job is definitely not what I was put on earth to do, and although it has been paying the bills, it is depressing and there is so much more out there for me to pursue. I've been taking baby steps in the right direction, but it's really time to immerse my self totally.

Anyways, enough with the bullshit...for my first 2010 Blog, I wanted to share some skull-crushing goodness from my good buddies in Rintrah from Murfreesboro!! Yo, Yo...well the past couple weeks have been very busy, although I feel like my head is still stuck at Saturday October, 31 2009 and I just wanted to share some thoughts and content from the night. It was a truly epic Halloween year; good friends, some great costumes, plenty of booze and the main event: Sound Tribe Sector 9 @ War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, which proved to be a absolutely mind blowing experience. If you are not in the know, I suggest you get with it, cuz these guys are on the next level!!:)

Thundersnake: First Look

I had the pleasure of filming Murfreesboro/Nashville based 80's Hair Metal Tribute band, Thundersnake, at the Exit/In a couple weeks ago. They put on a great show and we got some nice footage.

This was my first time filming with my friend Don DeLong, who recently invested in some video gear and helped me out capturing a second angle, this was a huge convenience, as I'm used to shooting single camera, so it's great to have the other angle to cut to for the edit. He also brought along his Tascam DR-100 digital stereo recorder for the audio source, which provided some great audio...very nice for a relatively inexpensive and extremely portable audio device.

Hey people!! Well, it's been about a month now since my last Blog (I suck at this)..haha that sounds like something you say in a confession booth:) anyways, I've been busy as hell trying to get these current projects out the door and live some semblance of a life as well!!

For those of you that know me, when I'm not working my skinny ass off, I like to get rad.haha....in many ways...one of which is flexin on my bicycle. I try to get out and ride every day, at least 6 to 8 miles. I mostly do urban freeride-style riding, bombing hills, catching air off any object possible (man-made or natural), jumping stair sets, dropping off ledges and practicing the few little tricks I know and trying to become a better rider in general:)

The main thing is that I have a blast riding...biking is one of the only shards of my youth that I am still clutching onto and I will most likely carry with me till I am unable to do so; it truly allows me some much needed moments of clarity to ponder the past, present and future, even if I am thrown back into calamity shortly thereafter. Also, it's really the only form of excercise that I have time for and am motivated to do on a daily basis...

Wow, the 2009 Bonnaroo music festival was completely insane, let me tell you. We had a blast, saw some incredible performances, met some "unique" individuals and indulged in many extra-curricular activities (ha)!! My little bro even made it down this year to partake in the madness, it was great to share that experience with him for his first time, he had a blast. As a result of Roo, I was pretty much completely out of commision last week. Trying to adapt to normal society after being up in that freakshow for 4 days is a chore to say the least, but it's all par for the course. I've got so much on my plate right now, which is a good thing, but I need to start better prioritizing the workload. Current projects include sweeping through and completeing a backlog of audio and video projects, pre production for a local Real Estate Foreclosure show that I'm shooting an intro for and editing down Jake and Lilly Lankheit's wedding video, here is a fun little sample from that.

Just got some new business cards printed up via http://www.overnightprints.com/ and they turned out great!!, the price was excellent as well, will definitely repeat business with them. Also about to get some vinyl stickers done as well, pretty pumped about that.

My friend Don recently purchased a new HD camera (Canon HV30, same as mine) so we will hopefully be doing some multi-camera shoots through the rest of the summer. Things are lookin pretty good right now, just need to keep my nose to the grindstone and keep pluggin away!!

Well, I figured it was about time I got a blog up and running, so here it is: pureform media: the blog. I’ll be using this to showcase new projects as well as project random streams of consciousness as they occur and just for news in general...personal and business.

Coincidentally, today is my 26th b’day, as some of you may know, and I’m just throwing this thing together real quick before I hit the town.

You may also know that my car was stolen recently, I just picked it up from the shop about an hour ago and it looks great!! I’m so glad to have it back and it looks even better than before it was jacked!
